Gainesville Ranked 2nd Fastest Growing City in Nation

In a recent study conducted by prominent finance and investing site NerdWallet, Gainesville ranked the second fastest growing city in the United States. Of the 20 highlighted cities, Gainesville topped the group in median income, and had the second-highest ranking employment rate.

The following factors were evaluated to come to their conclusion:

  1. Population: Population growth in the working-age population (16+)
  2. Employment: Growth in the percentage of employed residents (16+)
  3. Income: Growth in median income for workers
